The East West Symphonic Orchestra (EWSO) is a symphony library based on the sounds of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. EWS is distinguished from other orchestral libraries by its meticulous recreation of microphone positions and by its dense, "live" feel. EWS combines this with deeply sampled instruments (via Kontakt 3 Player). The result is a symphony library that simply sounds like no other. EWSO's sound has been embraced by composers and producers around the world, and it remains one of EastWest's most popular products to date. Since the original Hollywood Bowl Orchestra recordings, EastWest has released several expansions to the library. These additions have allowed them to record performers in new locations, capturing a uniquely different sound. The expansions are: Recorded at Skywalker Sound, EASTWEST/QUANTUM LEAP ORCHESTRAL LIBRARY is an unprecedented audio experience that features the world's finest musicians performing with precision and emotion. It also adds additional microphone positions to the library for a richer sound. This is part of a broader release of new instruments and improvements in the studio library line-up. Featuring over one hour of content, this expansion allows you to “get behind the scenes” and get an exclusive look at many of the most famous symphonic pieces ever performed. This is the first Kontakt library to include all of the sound recordings from a film score session. This expansion includes: Although very little information is publicly available about this library, it was used by composer Hans Zimmer during his 2013 trip to Skywalker Sound to record new instruments. It features a very similar sound to EWSO, with a few new instruments, although it may be too early for any solid conclusions regarding its capabilities or development. This library uses an extremely large amount of sample space compared to most other libraries, making it difficult for most users without dedicated virtual instruments hardware to use comfortably. This library has been discontinued and has been replaced by the "Hans Zimmer" orchestral library. cfa1e77820
