Everyone knows the proverb “life is like a box of chocolates”, but in this case, it's quite literally true. Jaynes Brown's grandfather sends his son-in-law, Jaynes takes it one step further by transforming his box of chocolates into the all encompassing life experience. The twist? He made each chocolate taste like a specific experience or moment in life. From an emotional choice to take the leap at work to every good and bad thing that happens when you're together with your spouse - Jaynes doesn't hold back when it comes to including all of life's experiences in his journey through the world of chocolate. In this new adventure, Jaynes Brown is a 33-year-old architect from Gainesville, Florida. After going on an emotional journey while living in China managing a chocolate factory, he left his life of comfort and familiarity to return home. He had a vision of a better life and an even better box of chocolates. His only problem was that each experience had to be worth sharing. With more than 60 years of memories behind him, Jaynes was ready to create the ultimate box of chocolates by making each piece taste like a different part of his life. In this way he could relive the moments that brought him joy and remember the ones that brought pain. While the series was only intended to be 8 episodes, it ended up being 13 episodes long. Each episode takes place in a different part of Jaynes' life and offers him a different chocolate taste. His new chocolate-filled life will take him back to: The first episode of "Boardwalk Empire" is featured as the official trailer of "Gods Must Be Crazy 1".On December 19, 2010 it was announced that movie studio Summit Entertainment had purchased the rights to make a feature film based on the video series and would begin production following the conclusion of season 3 of HBO's Boardwalk Empire. The film would be produced by Tom Lassally and Darren Lemke through their production company Moon Shot Productions. The film is currently listed as being in development hell. The series won the Top Series Award from the inaugural International Digital Emmy Awards in 2011.
